The Brink`s Co Q1 Profit Rises 42%

(RTTNews) - The Brink`s Co (BCO) announced earnings for its first quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $21.9 million, or $0.44 per share. This was higher than $15.4 million, or $0.31 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.39 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.7% to $755.6 million. This was up from $688.9 million last year.
